Farms
Emissions, every minute.
Afterburner Vaults emit rewards to staked positions every minute, pro rata by share. Lock for longer and the rate scales up to the multiplier the farm's creator set — as high as 18×. Creation is permissionless and there are no fees.

Mechanics
Pro rata, once a minute
A farm is a vault that pays out a reward coin over time. It recomputes emissions once a minute and divides them across staked shares, so a position starts earning in the same minute it is opened.
Each position's weight is its staked amount times its lock multiplier. Two people staking the same amount earn different rates only because one of them locked for longer, and the weighting is applied at every minute-level emission rather than settled at the end of a period.
The official Aftermath farms currently emit SUI, afSUI, NS, and mPOINTS. A farm creator can raise a farm's emissions at any time, and the contracts do not allow lowering them.

Lock multiplier
Linear from 1× to the cap
The multiplier does not step. It interpolates linearly between 1× with no lock and the maximum the creator configured at the longest permitted lock.
The table shows a farm whose creator set the maximum to 4×. A farm set to 18× uses the same straight line between 1× and 18×. Locks cannot extend past the end of the current two-week epoch, so the longest lock available shrinks as the epoch runs down.
Farm FAQs| Lock duration | Share of max lock | Multiplier in a 4× farm |
|---|---|---|
| No lock | 0% | 1.00× |
| A quarter of the maximum | 25% | 1.75× |
| Half the maximum | 50% | 2.50× |
| Three quarters of the maximum | 75% | 3.25× |
| The full maximum | 100% | 4.00× |

Why farms cannot auto-compound
A staked position is a Sui object owned by your address, and on Sui only an object's owner can invoke it. The vault has no standing authority to claim your rewards, restake them, or move your principal, which is exactly why auto-compounding is impossible here. Compounding is a transaction you sign.
“The vault does absolutely nothing with the funds that you stake because it can't access them.”
Lifecycle
Stake, lock, claim
From the first deposit to the claim, every step is a transaction signed by the position's owner.
Stake into the vault
Staking moves your coins into a position object that you own. The farm records your share of the vault; it never gains the right to move the underlying funds.
Emissions accrue every minute
The vault computes emissions every minute and splits them pro rata across staked shares. Rewards accumulate against your position and are claimable as they accrue.
Lock for a multiplier
Locking raises your share of every subsequent emission by the multiplier, up to the maximum the farm's creator configured. You cannot lock past the end of the current epoch.
Locks auto-relock
When a lock expires the position relocks rather than silently dropping to 1×. Ending a lock is an action you take, not a deadline you can miss.
Claim, then restake to compound
Claiming and unstaking are transactions signed by the position's owner. Because the vault cannot invoke your position, nothing is compounded for you — claim and restake to compound.
Epochs end and begin on Sunday
Emissions run in two-week epochs that end and begin on Sunday. A lock can never extend past the current epoch's end, so the maximum lock — and therefore the maximum multiplier available to a new position — shrinks over the course of an epoch and resets when the next one opens.
Anyone can launch a farm
Anyone can create an Afterburner Vault and fund it with any coin. The creator picks the reward coin, the emission rate, the maximum lock multiplier between 1× and 18×, and whether the vault runs in strict or relaxed lock enforcement.
