Pools
Eight assets, one pool.
A constant-function market maker where one pool holds up to eight assets at weights you choose. Creation is permissionless and free, deposits and withdrawals cost liquidity providers nothing, and the Move implementation is open source and audited by OtterSec.

Multi-asset
A basket, not a pair
Aftermath Pools is a constant-function market maker. The docs put the difference plainly: unlike all other AMMs on Sui, which only allow pools of two assets, an Aftermath pool can hold up to eight.
Eight assets in one pool collapses what would otherwise be twenty-eight separate two-asset pools. Liquidity providers hold one position and one LP coin instead of splitting a balance across pairs, and every asset in the pool quotes against every other asset without a hop.
Weights are part of the pool, not the deposit. An uncorrelated pool can hold any split between 1% and 99% per asset as long as the weights sum to 100, so a pool can be tilted toward the asset its creator expects to carry the volume.

Invariants
Uncorrelated or stable
A pool is created against one of two invariants. The choice sets what weights are legal and what the official pools charge.
| Invariant | Weights | Official fee | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uncorrelated | Any split, 1%–99% each, summing to 100 | 0.3% | Assets whose prices move independently |
| Stable | Equal weights, required | 0.1% | Assets expected to trade near parity |
Fees
Who pays what
Liquidity providers are never charged to enter or exit. Every fee below is levied on the trade.
| Action | Paid by | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Trade through an official uncorrelated pool | Trader | 0.3% |
| Trade through an official stable pool | Trader | 0.1% |
| Trade through a community pool | Trader | Set by the pool creator |
| Protocol fee on trades | Trader | 0.005% |
| Deposit liquidity | — | None |
| Withdraw liquidity | — | None |
| DAO fee, if the creator set one | Trader or LP | Set at creation, routed to a chosen address |
Audited
OtterSec reviewed the AMM
The pools contracts have a published OtterSec report, and the Move implementation is public. Read the report, read the code, then check the deployed objects on the explorer yourself.
Creating a pool
Permissionless and free
Nobody approves a pool. Five decisions and a seeding transaction, and the router can trade against it.
Pick the assets
Between two and eight coin types go into a single pool. There is no pair requirement and no factory allowlist: creation is permissionless and free.
Choose an invariant and weights
An uncorrelated pool takes any weights between 1% and 99% that sum to 100. A stable pool requires equal weights. The invariant is fixed for the life of the pool.
Set the trading fee
Community pools set their own trading fee. Aftermath's 0.005% protocol fee applies on top and is charged to traders, never to liquidity providers.
Add optional DAO fee or burn the LP coin
A DAO fee routes a cut of trades, deposits, and withdrawals to an address you choose. Burning the LP coin at creation locks the initial liquidity forever.
Seed liquidity
Seed the pool with the assets in your chosen weights and it starts quoting. The Smart-Order Router picks it up alongside every other venue on Sui.
Exits are pro rata by design
Withdrawals are always distributed pro rata at equal weights, whatever the pool's configured weights are. The exit path does not depend on the pool's current composition, so it cannot be steered by pushing one asset's balance around.
Burnable LP coin and DAO fees
A creator can burn the pool's LP coin at creation, which locks the initial liquidity forever. They can also attach a DAO fee that routes part of trades, deposits, and withdrawals to an address of their choosing.
